Osteria la Spiga was co-founded in 1998 by Chef Sabrina Tinsley and her husband, Pietro Borghesi, in a quest to bring authentic cuisine from northern Italy to Seattle. In Italy, the Osteria is a welcoming neighborhood spot where locals savor fresh, seasonal food in the company of good friends. Osteria la Spiga is just such a place; the atmosphere is inviting, and the food warms the soul. As co-founder and host Pietro Borghesi says, “An evening at la Spiga is like dining in Italy — without the plane fare.”
La Spiga's menu pays homage to Italy'sEmilia-Romagna region. Chef Sabrina creates tasty, seasonal dishes that reflect the authenticity of the food while using the finest Italian ingredients and what is freshest from local sources.
