Autumn Martin began her career as pastry chef at the world-renowned Canlis Restaurant in 2002, then moved on to head chocolatier of the country’s first organic chocolate factory, Theo Chocolate in 2004. In 2008 she started her own organic dessert company, Hot Cakes, and in 2016, co-founded Frankie & Jo’s. Autumn’s ultimate focus is caring for the environment by paying special attention to our farming practices and nurturing meaningful relationships between humans and the earth. She is 4th generation Washingtonian and draws much of her inspiration from the wilderness of her home, the mountains, rivers, deserts, and seas of all lands. You can find her driving around in her Westfalia, Wynne, looking for the closest surf break.
Kari Brunson moved to Seattle from Southwest Virginia in 2000 after being recruited to dance professionally with the prestigious Pacific Northwest Ballet. After almost a decade with the ballet company, she retired in 2009 to pursue her longtime hobby of cooking into a new career. In 2012, she founded Juicebox Cafe, a vegetable-focused restaurant and in 2016, she co-founded Frankie & Jo's. Kari is passionate about creating products where plant-based cuisine and excellent customer service are the centerpieces. Her newest hobby is tennis, and she has sworn she will not retire and turn this into a business any time soon.
Both women are steadfast and committed to making the most delicious and creative plant-based ice cream you have ever had and cultivating a team that gives extremely attentive and nurturing customer service.
