El Chupacabra opened in March 16th, 2005 in Greenwood and has been serving up delicious burritos and margaritas ever since. In 2011 El Chupacabra Alki was opened in West Seattle on the beach and serves up the same drinks and fun atmosphere.
Owner Aaron Wright moved to Seattle from San Francisco in 1991 and was surprised to find the delicious burritos he had been living off from the SF mission District didn’t exist in Seattle at the time. Young and broke, he put the pipe dream of opening a burrito joint in Seattle on the backburner. Fast forward to 2005, with just barely enough money scraped up and calling in favors from friends and family he opened the first Chupa with a business partner.
El Chupacabra is offering take out food, drink kits and ‘beer to go’ to take home and enjoy!
